Homes for Sale in South Salt Lake

Since 2010 South Salt Lake has seen rapid redevelopment. Home of Chinatown, which opened in 2012, South Salt Lake opened the area near 3300 South and State St. as the only Chinatown in the InterMountain West. South Salt Lake broke ground on what will become the city’s new downtown economic zone, known as The Crossing, located between State St. and Main St. just south of 2100 South.

A famous icon resides in South Salt Lake, the nation’s first ever Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant franchise was established in 1952 by Harland Sanders and Pete Harman. The building still remains to this day located at the corner of 3900 South and State St. For years South Salt Lake was known as a more industrial city. However, in recent years the city has embraced its transformation as a hub for both industry and residential. South Salt Lake is now known for building residential units close to public transit systems.
