Why do I keep saying Realtors suck?
Here’s the perfect example.
I was out with a Buyer and saw a few homes. 🏡
The Listing Agent of one of the homes we saw reached out to me after I sent feedback. He thanked me for the feedback and asked a few questions about my Buyer’s thoughts on the house. Ok, no problem. He’s doing his job and I respect that. Good job, Listing Agent!
I answered the questions and told him we put an offer on another property. 📃
That’s a nice way of me saying thanks, but no thanks. We’re clearly not interested in the property since the Buyer put an offer on a different property.
So, what does this Listing Agent do less than 24 hours after messaging me?
He texts me again to say he received an offer and if we wanted to submit one too. Umm. Hey bro, I already told you we submitted an offer on another house. What makes you think we’re going to jump at yours now that you received an offer? 🤔
This Listing Agent was trying to get multiple offers in a market that is taking 60+ days to receive any offer!! Also, we already told you the Buyer is not considering making an offer on your listing.
Should I fault this Listing Agent’s hustle?
Perhaps in this instance I should, because he already knew where my client stood on the property and that we submitted an offer elsewhere.
This is why Realtors suck!! 😫 And I am one!
I guess these Realtors just end up making me look better to those that choose to work with a respected professional.
