Saying that Oakley is “scenic” would be a disservices to this city. At 6,500 feet you will begin to understand the history of this city when the Ute Native Americans first settled here to hunt, fish, and gather wild fruit. Currently Oakley is famous for the annual Rodeo which takes place during the July 4th holiday. Oakley is a very rural area of Summit County and is proud of it’s agricultural history.
