The decision to move is not always an easy one – it can feel overwhelming and stressful. Sometimes, it’s the fear of the unknown that holds us back from choosing an option that we know could make a major improvement in our lives. Here are some ways to get you started, since I’m also one of those people who can freeze when needing to make a decision.
The average American moves 5-6x between the ages of 18-45
In spite of that, many feel overwhelmed by just the though of moving, even though it may be in their family’s best interest. It can be hard to leave a place you love but sometimes it’s the fear of the unknown that holds you back more than anything else.
Here are some tips to get you started that may reduce that stress
✅ Get on the same page as your spouse, partner and/or family members
✅ Get informed about all that’s involved
✅ Check out school districts and neighborhood amenities
✅ Research commute times, or drive times to kids’ activities, shops, etc.
✅ Get to know the community through talking to locals and using social media.
